Mentor Notes #164 - Do you still believe in miracles?

Mentor Note #164

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” - Albert Einstein

Lets Dive in...

Hello Reader,

I’ve been thinking a lot about miracles this week.

I have always believed in miracles, and I still do. My life has given me many reasons to believe, and I do not think my path would have unfolded as it has without that belief along the way.

There is something I have noticed about believing in miracles. We can have complete faith in some parts of our lives and struggle to believe in others.

Some people find it easy to believe in miracles when they involve the people they love. They believe in the friendships that arrive at the right time, the family they have created, their children and the home they have built.

But when it comes to their own work, career, love or abundance, they do not expect the same kind of miracle.

Why can you dream of a beautiful life when other people are part of it, yet struggle to imagine something extraordinary when the desire belongs only to you?

It got me thinking about how much of our lives we spend honouring our roles and doing things for other people.

From the moment you are born, you are someone’s daughter or son. Then you become a student, a friend, a partner, a parent or a colleague. We become devoted to the people and responsibilities around us.

Unless you find a way to step back from those roles and see where they end and you begin, it can be difficult to know what is truly yours to want and what you have inherited from other people.

Believing in miracles requires faith. Not only faith in yourself, but faith in something greater than you. Whether you call that God, the universe, spirit or something else, there comes a point when you have to release your need to control exactly how everything will happen.
You can dream, make plans, set intentions and do the work, but you cannot control every part of the outcome.

Over the years, I have read and studied a lot about manifestation, mostly because there have been many times in my life when I have visualised something and somehow found a way to create it.

When something I deeply wanted was not arriving, I wanted to understand what I had done differently. I wanted to work out what was missing so I could put it into action.

The message I kept finding was the same.

The last stage of manifesting is that you have to let go.

Letting go does not mean giving up on what you want or sitting back and doing nothing. It means loosening your grip on exactly how and when it must arrive.

That is where faith steps in.

It is easy to believe when life is giving you evidence. But when something really matters, do you feel the fear start to creep in?

You ask for a sign while preparing yourself for the worst. You repeat all the reasons it cannot happen and become fixed on it arriving through the only path you can see.

Faith is what remains when you have taken the action you can take and the rest is no longer yours to control.

When there is evidence, you are responding to proof. Faith is staying true to what you can see for your life before that evidence arrives.

It is continuing to take the steps that belong to you, while releasing the parts that do not.

The Takeaway

In order to believe in miracles, you must let go and have faith in something greater than you.

Belief isn't passive or the certainty that everything will happen as you want it. It's believing in the possibilities and being willing to respond when they present themselves.

Something to Try

This week, think about a miracle you have had in your life, the unexpected thing that came into your life that had to be fate. Be thankful for that miracle.

Now choose an area of your life that has become small and answer this question.

If I truly believed something could change, what would I attempt to do before the end of this week?

I love hearing from you, so hit REPLY and share your miracle or even better, what you are changing before the end of the week.

I appreciate you!

Until next week,

Much love,

Sally xx

Hello Reader, I have spent more time this year than I care to admit listening to astrology forecasts and tarot readings, and exploring Human Design to understand myself more deeply. And honestly, some of it has been helpful. It has given me language for what I was feeling, offered reassurance in uncertain moments and helped me look at myself...
