Mentor Note:
Your inner world has changed faster than your outer life. That is why everything suddenly feels so uncomfortable. - Sally Polihronas
Lets Dive in...
Hello Reader,
There are moments when your life looks exactly the same - but no longer feels the same.
The work, relationships and routines that once felt fine start to grate on you. You feel restless but you can't fully name it, and the life you want seems clearer than the path that will take you there.
It is easy to assume this means you are lost or dissatisfied.
But what if your inner world has simply moved ahead?
Before change becomes visible, it often begins as a quiet shift within you.
Your values deepen, your desires become more honest, you start imagining a different way of working, creating, relating or living. Something in you can already feel what is possible - even while your outer life still reflects choices made by an earlier version of you.
That is why growth can feel so uncomfortable.
You are standing between the life that formed you and the life you are now ready to create.
We often think yearning means something is missing.
Sometimes it means something new has already begun.
The future you keep imagining may not be a fantasy pulling you away from your life. It may be an invitation to bring more of who you have become into the life you are living now.
This is where your perception of yourself matters.
The way you see yourself affects the frequency you carry,
If you continue seeing yourself through an identity you have outgrown, you will keep looking for evidence of who you were.
You may minimise the idea, wait for permission, stay loyal to an old definition of success or keep choosing what feels familiar over what feels true.
But when your self-perception begins to match who you are becoming, your energy changes.
You speak about your ideas with greater conviction. You notice opportunities that once passed you by. You make clearer decisions and you stop asking whether you are allowed to want more and begin taking responsibility for creating it.
This is how an outer life begins to change.
Not all at once, or because you wished hard enough. But because the person making the choices has changed.
The life you are yearning for is created this way - from the inside out.
First, you feel the shift.
Then, you begin to see yourself differently.
And then, your choices start building visible evidence of the person you have already become.
Your outer world may not reflect the whole vision yet.
That does not mean nothing is happening.
It may mean the new life is already being formed within you - and now it is asking for somewhere to go.
The Takeaway
Your yearning is not always evidence that your life is lacking. It may be evidence that your inner world has expanded beyond what your current life can hold.
Let the vision inspire you rather than make you feel behind. What you are becoming within yourself is the beginning of what you will eventually create around you.
Something to Try
Think about the life you find yourself yearning for and ask:
What does this vision reveal about who I am becoming?
Where am I still seeing myself through an older identity?
What is one choice I could make this week that reflects the person I am now?
Choose something small but visible and take action.
Give your outer life one piece of evidence that something within you has already changed.
I appreciate you!
Until next week,
Much love,
Sally xx
