Mentor Note:
“Spiritual insight can awaken something within you. Action is how you bring it to life.”

Lets Dive in...
Hello Reader,
I have spent more time this year than I care to admit listening to astrology forecasts and tarot readings, and exploring Human Design to understand myself more deeply.
And honestly, some of it has been helpful.
It has given me language for what I was feeling, offered reassurance in uncertain moments and helped me look at myself through a different lens. Plus, it's fun.
But recently I heard someone describe astrology and tarot as mental processes; another way of trying to think our way into certainty, and it stopped me.
Because everywhere I look at the moment, someone is talking about a new moon, a full moon, an eclipse, a retrograde or a major planetary shift.
There is always another energetic event explaining why we feel the way we do or promising that change is just around the corner.
And if we are not careful, the cycle can become almost trance-like.
We keep watching. We keep interpreting. We keep waiting.
Waiting for the planets to move.
Waiting for the next reading.
Waiting for a sign that tells us it is finally time.
The tools themselves are not the problem. The question is whether they are helping us participate in our lives, or giving us a beautiful reason to avoid them.
I know I have sometimes reached for another reading when, deep down, I already knew what I needed to do.
The reading made me feel better for a moment. But feeling reassured and moving forward are not always the same thing.
Sometimes searching for more spiritual insight is simply a more acceptable way of delaying the uncomfortable action our life is asking of us.
That is where a tool can quietly become an escape.
For me, it helps to understand spirit and soul this way. Language differs across faiths and traditions, but this is the distinction that feels true to me:
Spirit is the light, life force and divine intelligence that connects us to something greater than ourselves.
Soul is our unique expression of that spirit through this human life; our inner wisdom, values, desires, lessons and purpose.
And the body is where the soul gets to live it all.
The mind searches for meaning.
The body tells us how truth lands.
The soul knows the direction.
The spirit connects us to something greater.
But action is what gives all of it form.
That is the part we can miss.
Alignment is not sitting still until we feel perfectly certain. It is not waiting for the stars to perfectly align.
Alignment is becoming quiet enough to hear what is true, connected enough to feel it in the body and courageous enough to take the next honest step.
The magic is in the action, not frantic action or action for the sake of proving ourselves, but action that comes from connection.
No chart can make the phone call.
No tarot card can have the conversation.
No planetary transit can set the boundary, begin the work or make the choice that belongs to us.
Spiritual practices can guide us, affirm us and help us see what we could not see before. But they were never meant to replace our own inner authority.
Insight can awaken something within us. But it is our choices that bring that insight into our lives.
The Takeaway
Use astrology, tarot and Human Design as mirrors, not masters.
If a spiritual practice brings you closer to your truth, your body and your life, it is serving you.
If it keeps you searching, waiting or handing your choices to something outside yourself, it may be time to step away from the interpretation and back into participation.
Insight matters. But insight must eventually become a choice.
Something to Try
Before you watch the next astrology reading, check the next transit or search for another answer, pause and ask yourself:
- What do I already know?
- What is my body communicating to me?
- What is one honest action I can take before asking for more guidance?
Then take that action, even if it is small.
Send the email, write the first paragraph, book the appointment, say the thing, rest when your body is asking you to rest or even better JOURNAL.
Let your spiritual practice bring you more deeply into your life.
Listen for the insight, feel what is true and then take the step that brings it to life.
Okay, I'm off to read my morning Affirmation card and watch a cancer weekly astrology video. 🤣
I appreciate you!
Until next week,
Much love,
Sally xx
