Mentor Notes #111 - Stuck in the Same Pattern?

Mentor Note #111

Mentor Note:

"Surrender to change or suffer in a loop." – Unknown

Lets Dive in...

Hello Reader,

I was thinking this week about my notes and how sometimes, when you look back on personal growth, it feels so much easier than living through it in the moment.

Times of change, expansion, or elevation can feel like you’re drowning, like you’re losing yourself. They can be some of the hardest moments to navigate - even when you know they’re exactly what you need. I’ve seen it in my own life more times than I can count. I held onto situations, roles, and ways of being long past their expiry date, simply because letting go felt too uncertain.

But here’s what I learned: when we resist change, life has a way of repeating the same lesson over and over again until we finally pay attention. Sonia Choquette often teaches that our spirit is always whispering to us - guiding us toward growth. If we ignore it, the whispers get louder, and the loops become more painful.

✨True freedom comes when we surrender - not as a sign of weakness, but as a choice to trust that life is always moving us toward expansion.

The Takeaway

Change is not here to punish you - it’s here to evolve you.
When you stop fighting it, you begin to see that every ending carries the seed of a new beginning.

Most importantly, the soul’s lessons are unique to each of us. What feels like loss may actually be liberation. What looks like failure may be initiation. The loop only breaks when you finally say: I’m ready to grow.

Something to Try

Think of one area in your life where you’ve been circling the same pattern - maybe in your work, your relationships, or even your self-talk.

This week, ask yourself:
What change am I resisting?
What might open up if I surrendered to it?

Write it down. Even naming the loop is the first step in breaking it.

I appreciate you!

Until next week,

Much love,

Sally xx

PS. You don’t have to suffer in the loop. The moment you surrender, life opens. ✨

It's like July to September went by so fast, I blinked and I missed it! agh! As I felt the pressure seep in thinking shit I haven't done this and that I thought of you. It’s so easy to slip into the belief that “it’s too late.” That the window has closed for the goals you wanted to reach, the projects...

Mentor Note #109 Mentor Note: "You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean, in a drop." – Kahlil Gibran Lets Dive in... Hello Reader, Lately, I’ve been reflecting on my own spiritual path. It’s funny how the universe works - I was deep in thought about it earlier last week, and then I stumbled across an interview with Madonna and Jay Shetty that echoed the very same feelings I had been sitting with. After my short but wild time in the spotlight, I felt an undeniable pull inward....

Mentor Note #108 Mentor Note: “Be so steady in your own energy that you invite people into your peace, instead of falling into their tension.” – Yung Pueblo Lets Dive in... Hello Reader, I came across this quote last week and it stopped me in my tracks. I knew right away it had to be today’s note. So many soulful, creative humans I speak with share the same concern: how to protect their energy. What begins as a subtle feeling from someone else - an off mood, a sharp comment, a quiet judgment,...
