Mentor Notes #110 - Don’t Write Off the Year Yet…

Mentor Note #110

Mentor Note:

"It is never too late to be what you might have been." – George Eliot

Lets Dive in...

Hello Reader,

Are you looking at your calendar thinking FAR OUT it's October? It's like July to September went by so fast, I blinked and I missed it! agh!

As I felt the pressure seep in thinking shit I haven't done this and that I thought of you.
It’s so easy to slip into the belief that “it’s too late.” That the window has closed for the goals you wanted to reach, the projects you dreamed about finishing or even starting, or the changes you hoped to make.

But here’s the truth: two months is plenty of time to create meaningful momentum. I’ve seen more breakthroughs in the final stretch of the year than sometimes in the first six months. Why? Because urgency awakens us. The turning of the year stirs something in us that says: If not now, when?

I’ve lived through this cycle myself - leaving projects unfinished, feeling like I’d run out of time. And I’ve also felt the electric energy of choosing to recommit. The difference between regret and renewal often comes down to the choice we make in this moment.

The Takeaway

The end of the year doesn’t have to be a slow fade-out; it can be a powerful crescendo.

Two months is enough time to:

✨ Start and finish a project.
✨ Shift your mindset.
✨ Build a new habit.
✨ Create clarity for the year ahead.

Most importantly, it’s not about doing it all - it’s about choosing what matters most right now and giving it your energy.

Something to Try

This week, take out your journal and write at the top of the page:
“By the end of this year, I will feel proud that I…”

List three things that, if you committed to them now, would leave you feeling charged, aligned, and ready for the new year.

Circle the one that makes your heart beat faster - that’s your focus for these next two months.

A SOULFUL INVITATION:

If you’re ready to close the year with power and purpose, I’d love to support you. My 1:1 mentoring is designed to help creatives shift out of fear and self-doubt, into clarity and inspired action.

Imagine finishing this year not drained, but alive with momentum - already building the foundation for everything you want to create in 2026.

✨ Let’s make these last two months count. ✨

I appreciate you!

Until next week,

Much love,

Mentor Note #118 Mentor Note: "Do not wait for the perfect moment. Take the moment and make it perfect." - Zoey Sayward Lets Dive in... Hello Reader, This week, I’ve been reflecting on how often we wait for inspiration, for confidence, or for conditions to feel “just right.” Watching my daughter step into her dance concert and performing a few weeks ago reminded me that the only way to create magic is to start where you are, with what you have, right now. There is never a perfect moment, and...

Mentor Note #117 Mentor Note: "Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life." - Confucius Lets Dive in... Hello Reader, This week, I’ve been immersed in my daughter’s dance concerts - tech runs, rehearsals, and all the behind-the-scenes hustle. Watching them reminded me so much of my own life as a performer. I remember the countless hours of rehearsals, the early mornings, the late nights… and yet, it never felt like work. Not once did I dread stepping on stage. Every moment of...

Mentor Note #116 Mentor Note: “Intuition is the direct messenger of the soul.” - Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves Lets Dive in... Hello Reader, I picked up the book, Women Who Run With the Wolves again this week, and it hit me- maybe more than ever, how deeply women have been taught to mistrust their own inner voice. The author, Clarissa writes about intuition as our ancient instinct, our inner wildness, our fierce knowing… and yet so many of us have learned to override...
