Mentor Notes #109 - When Success Isn’t Enough…

Mentor Note #109

Mentor Note:

"You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean, in a drop." – Kahlil Gibran

Lets Dive in...

Hello Reader,

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on my own spiritual path. It’s funny how the universe works - I was deep in thought about it earlier last week, and then I stumbled across an interview with Madonna and Jay Shetty that echoed the very same feelings I had been sitting with.

After my short but wild time in the spotlight, I felt an undeniable pull inward. Outward success gave me incredible experiences, but it didn’t quiet the questions whispering in my heart. I knew there had to be more to life, more to my soul’s journey, than just fame and performing.

I began searching, opening myself to practices and paths I’d never considered before - Kabbalah, Buddhism, A Course in Miracles, Bikram yoga, reiki, meditation. Each became a doorway to deeper understanding.

I devoured the words of Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Sonia Choquette, Louise L Hay, Paulo Coelho, and Kahlil Gibran.
These teachers reminded me of something essential: our lives are not just about what we achieve, but how much we awaken to who we truly are.

What I discovered was less about finding something outside of me, and more about remembering what had always been there.

The Takeaway

Spiritual practice isn’t about perfection - it’s about presence.
It’s about choosing to see beyond the surface of life and asking deeper questions: Who am I? Why am I here? What is mine to bring to the world?

The more we lean into those questions, the more aligned our lives become.

Most importantly, everyone’s path is different, and the soul’s lessons are unique to you. In Kabbalah, they speak of the vessel and the light, and how our growth comes from identifying what we are here to repair. In Buddhism, it’s the recognition that suffering can become a teacher. In yoga, it’s the union of body, mind, and spirit. In Christianity, it’s living in alignment with love.

The language may change, but the essence is the same: every soul has its own journey, and every path holds wisdom.

Something to Try

This week, give yourself 10 minutes of quiet. Place your hand on your heart and breathe deeply. Ask:

What truth within me is ready to be heard?
Where am I being called to grow right now?

Write down whatever comes, without judgment. Often the whisper you hear is the first step toward clarity.

A SOULFUL INVITATION:

If you’ve been feeling the call to explore more, beyond surface success and the busy pace of life, I’d love to walk alongside you.

Through my 1:1 mentoring, we journey into self-discovery, creative alignment, and spiritual practice, so you can reconnect with the part of you that knows the way forward.

Until next week,

Mentor Note #111 Mentor Note: "Surrender to change or suffer in a loop." – Unknown Lets Dive in... Hello Reader, I was thinking this week about my notes and how sometimes, when you look back on personal growth, it feels so much easier than living through it in the moment. Times of change, expansion, or elevation can feel like you’re drowning, like you’re losing yourself. They can be some of the hardest moments to navigate - even when you know they’re exactly what you need. I’ve seen it in my...

Mentor Note #110 Mentor Note: "It is never too late to be what you might have been." – George Eliot Lets Dive in... Hello Reader, Are you looking at your calendar thinking FAR OUT it's October? It's like July to September went by so fast, I blinked and I missed it! agh! As I felt the pressure seep in thinking shit I haven't done this and that I thought of you. It’s so easy to slip into the belief that “it’s too late.” That the window has closed for the goals you wanted to reach, the projects...

Mentor Note #108 Mentor Note: “Be so steady in your own energy that you invite people into your peace, instead of falling into their tension.” – Yung Pueblo Lets Dive in... Hello Reader, I came across this quote last week and it stopped me in my tracks. I knew right away it had to be today’s note. So many soulful, creative humans I speak with share the same concern: how to protect their energy. What begins as a subtle feeling from someone else - an off mood, a sharp comment, a quiet judgment,...
