Mentor Note:
“There is always a new beginning... Doors are unlimited, always open, if one closes then the other opens.” - Sally Polihronas
Lets Dive in...
Hello Reader,
You know what I love most about life? It never runs out of fresh starts.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve unpacked some deeper stuff, old patterns, dream clarity, past conditioning, and I know you might’ve been thinking… where is this all going Sally? 😆
But here’s the thing, the deep work is powerful because it clears the way for what’s next.
This week, I can’t help but think about the doors; not the band... like actual doors!
The ones that open, the ones that slam shut, the ones that slowly creak open just to close again right when you get excited. ( I hated those). The ones you get wedged between, wondering if you’re going to make it out with your dignity intact. (They can hurt)
I was chatting with a friend the other day about how many times post-Bardot I just missed out on a job. You get shortlisted, down to the final two, and then the call comes: “You didn’t get it.”
TV hosting gigs, big commercials, moments that looked like they were it.
And you know what? I used to get bummed out.
But now I can see it:
Those doors were never meant for me.
Because if I’d kept walking through only the performance path, I would’ve missed everything else. I wouldn’t have stepped into producing, mentoring, working with global brands, making tours happen and I never would have found all these other strengths that lit me up in completely different ways and gave me experience in so many areas of the entertainment business.
There comes a time in every creative’s life when you start to question where you’re headed.
And let me tell you, it’s normal, it’s necessary and it’s part of your creative growth.
That job you once wanted with your whole heart might lose its shine. You might outgrow the thing you once worked so hard to earn and suddenly you wake up and realise…
You want something more, something deeper, something aligned with who you are now.
The dancer starts dreaming of choreographing or directing.
The assistant wants to lead.
The mum craves to set her creative soul on fire again.
The CEO longs for peace, simplicity and family time.
✨It doesn’t matter what your title is, we’re all human and the desire to evolve is your soul doing its job.
The Takeaway
A closed door isn’t a failure, it’s a re-route or a redirection like a divine detour.
It's so easy to let these moments get you down or confuse you as you question your path, but always remember that years from today, you may look back and realise it was exactly as it was meant to be. The rejection was really protection!
Don’t mourn the closed doors, honour them.
They’ve done their job by guiding you back to yourself.
Now it’s time to look up, because the next one is already open.
Something to Try
This week, write a short list titled:
“What I’ve Outgrown.”
Be honest, no judgement. This could be a role, a routine, a dream, a mindset.
Then, underneath, write:
“What I’m Ready to Grow Into.”
Let this be your quiet declaration, a new door opens when you’re brave enough to name what you want next.
I always love hearing from you, stay connected.
Until next week,
Much love,
Sally xx

Little Reminders:
|
|
Create a Morning Energy Shift
Choose a song, ritual or rhythm that starts your day in fresh energy. This isn’t about perfection, it’s about momentum. Wake your body up with something that reminds you: I’m stepping into new energy today.
|
|
|
Flip the Script on Rejection
Each time something doesn’t work out, try saying: “That was a redirection toward alignment.” This tiny shift helps train your mind to trust the process instead of fearing it.

|
Act Before You’re “Ready”
Don’t wait for clarity to strike like lightning. Clarity comes through action. Post the idea, pitch the thing, start the draft. That brave little step opens the next creative door.
