Mentor Notes #93 - You’ve done all the rituals. Why are you still feeling Blah?

Lets Dive in...

Hello Reader,

I was scrolling on instagram the other night, as you do. That 10 minute scroll that lasts what seems like a whole night. 🤣 I was thinking to myself, shit! if everyone who scrolls, does all the rituals and daily habits and checklists I was just told to do daily, there might not be much time in the day left.

You light the candles, you journal, you do the breath-work, pilates, weights, run, get steps in, eat protein, take supplements, drink tonics, plunge, steam, stretch, scrub, brush and moisturise not to mention all the beauty things you have to do, pluck, 10 step double cleanse, a million serums process just to get to sleep. Mouth tape, face tape omg... I'm tired.

Oh and don't forget immunity up, cortisol down, don't get angry stay calm. Be PERFECT!!

Wear the perfect outfits and keep make up en point, follow the trends but not too hard.

And even after all of this, you're still feeling blah. The tiredness doesn’t leave and nothing seems to move you forward. You feel like you are going to break but you just keep on keeping on.

I hear you saying "so what is this all about Sally?"

Well... this isn’t really about your “self-care” routine, because hey... a lot of that is necessary.
It’s about the part of you that keeps performing wellness while avoiding the real root: You may be drained from living out of alignment.

You can’t sage your way through burnout caused by self-betrayal.
You need restoration; real, radical, inconvenient restoration.

Which means:
→ Canceling what depletes you.
→ Saying “no” even when it disappoints others.
→ Resting before you break. (This one is so important)

You have to HEAL.... even in a world that is moving so fast.

The Takeaway

Most of the time when you're feeling BLAH! there is nothing wrong with you.
You're not broken, you're not behind, you're just burnt out.

Let’s be honest - our human design was never meant to carry this much.
The pace of life.
The constant input.
The scrolling, the comparing, the pressure to always be on or better.
It chips away at your nervous system, your joy, your sense of enoughness.

You weren’t built for inboxes overflowing, 24/7 notifications, endless content loops, or productivity as a measure of worth.
We weren’t built for performative healing or aesthetic spirituality.
We were built for connection, rhythm, rest, and truth.

So if your creativity has slowed…
If your joy feels distant…
If your rituals feel dull or forced…
It’s not because you’re failing, it’s because your spirit is asking for something real.

Something quieter, something deeper. Something that brings you back to yourself, not the version that hustles, but the one that heals.

AND only you have the answers you have to stay quiet and still enough to listen and hear them.

Something to Try

  • Say “no” to one obligation this week. Replace it with nothing.
  • Lay flat on the floor and breathe. Ask: What do I need that I keep overriding?
  • Let your nervous system guide your calendar, not just your ambition.

Always love hearing from you, stay connected.

Until next week,

Much love,

Sally xx

Little Reminders:

Prioritise nervous system recovery

Epsom salt baths, gentle walking, and off-screen time are more potent than you think.

Stop using productivity to prove your worth.

You’re not more loveable because you’re doing more.

Build in rest as a business strategy.

Rested creators create work that lands - tired ones just produce noise.
