Lets Dive in...
Hello Reader,
This year, I made a conscious choice to go deeper with you.
To move beyond mindset tips, habit stacking, and productivity hacks - and into the parts of growth that happen underneath the surface. (You know the inner work stuff not many talk about.)
And you stayed.
We only lost 2–3 readers through this shift - which tells me everything I need to know about you and your commitment to your inner work.
Because the truth is: real growth is not clean.
It’s not curated or controlled.
It’s honest - It’s uncomfortable - It’s revealing.
It changes how you see others, how you see yourself, and how you respond to life.
There are chapters inside our chapters, and not everyone is brave enough to stay inside the page-turning moments.
But you did.
And along the way, you’ve likely experienced the three stages I’ve seen in every true healing journey:
1. The Healing Makes You Private
You pull inward.
You withdraw.
You say no more.
You spend time alone - not because you’re hiding, but because you’re listening.
Your inner world becomes the priority.
You start connecting dots, meeting the parts of yourself you avoided, numbed, or abandoned.
It is tender and sacred work.
2. The Growth Makes You Picky
As you grow, your standards rise.
Your awareness sharpens.
You see people differently - not because they changed, but because you did.
Boundaries become non-negotiable.
Your energy becomes precious.
You choose who gets access - and yes, that will repel people who once benefitted from your lack of boundaries. ( Your family and friends probably set an intervention because you've changed 🤣)
This is where many stop.
They think growth is the destination - but it’s not.
If you stop here, judgment creeps in.
You may still feel lack.
You may still feel triggered.
You may still feel separate.
3. The Peace Makes You Unbothered
This stage isn’t loud and it’s not a performance, it’s a quiet knowing.
Your confidence lives in your body, not your words.
Your worth is no longer up for negotiation.
You move differently - softer but stronger.
You stop judging because you’re no longer living in comparison or lack.
This is the beginning of becoming the artist.
The Takeaway
Don’t Stop at Stage 2.
Growth is powerful - but inner peace is where your life actually changes.
And peace is what gives birth to creation.
Because once you stop fighting your past, proving yourself, or seeking validation -
you finally have the emotional space to create your life.
This is what I mean when I say:
The final stage of the healing journey is becoming the artist.
The artist is the one who chooses, who shapes, who imagines who steps into Self-Leadership.
Creative living is not about making art - it’s about making a life that is yours.
Something to Try
Ask yourself:
What chapter am I in right now?
Healing → Growing → or Peace?
Then journal or voice note on this:
- Where am I still protecting myself instead of expressing myself?
- Where am I judging others because a part of me still feels lack or insecurity?
- Where am I ready to start creating, instead of only recovering?
Choose one small creative act this week that says:
I am the artist of my life.
It can be tiny, But it must be intentional.
Your next chapter is not something you find, it’s something you create.
I appreciate you!
Until next week,
Much love,
Sally xx
