Lets Dive in...
Hello Reader,
I was talking to a friend about creative ideas the other day. You know the idea you get in the shower, on a walk/run, or while you were lost in a daydream. It feels exciting, maybe even a little wild, but something in you knows you're right.
We spoke about how doubt creeps in almost as quickly as the idea arrived.
The inner critic starts.... Is this even a good idea? What if it doesn’t work? What will people think?
Intuition is my compass, but the tricky part is, it doesn’t come with a guarantee. It doesn’t give you a step-by-step plan or proof that it will all work out. It nudges you, whispering in your ear..... this way. 😂
As a creative human, you're often searching for clarity or validation of your ideas, but the truth is, clarity comes from action, not overthinking.
When you trust those creative sparks, when you follow the energy of what excites you, you open the door to your most authentic work.
The Takeaway
MY advice to my friend was reminding her that her best ideas don’t come from forcing or overanalysing, they come from trusting yourself. That gut feeling, that pull toward something new, that idea that won’t leave you alone? That’s your intuition guiding you.
This week, ask yourself:
- What creative idea has been lingering in the back of my mind?
- Am I dismissing it out of fear, or am I willing to explore it?
- How can I create more space for my intuition to speak?
You have to understand that self-doubt never fully goes away. It doesn’t matter how experienced, talented, or successful you become. The difference between those who create success over and over and those who never do isn’t the absence of fear, it’s their ability to move through it.
Because let’s be real, every creative journey comes with fear, doubt, and messy middle moments. The "OMG, what am I doing?" phases. The "Is this even working?" thoughts. The overwhelming urge to stop. But remember, clarity doesn’t come from thinking. It comes from action.
So if I were to tell you to focus on just one thing, it would be this:
Keep the momentum. Keep showing up. Keep doing the work.
Because the people who create the life they dream of? They aren’t the ones who never feel fear. They’re the ones who feel it, and keep going anyway.
I've done this over and over through my life, from performer to popstar, to producer, to mum and home maker and now navigating being the mum I want to be and following through on the ideas I have.
I've learnt we have patterns and those patterns repeat cycles in our life, we have cycles of approx 12 years, 3 years, 1 year and even patterns that repeat through the months. Your job is to do the work to become aware of the patterns and intercept them.
Any blocks that you have whether it be, money, work relationships are most probably due to the patterns that you haven't discovered yet. If you are finding yourself in the same situations years a a part, this is a pattern cycle. I'll do a note on this soon!
Something to Try
Take a Creative Intuition Walk this week;
- Just 15-20 minutes with no distractions. No music, no podcast, no scrolling. Just you and your thoughts.
- Pay attention to what ideas surface when your mind has space to wander.
- Write them down afterward.
Your intuition is always speaking. The question is, are you listening?
I want to know if you took action... let me know by replying to this email.
Until next week,
Much love,
Sally xx
Little Reminders:
|
|
Slow down to speed up
Comparison drains creative energy. Notice when you’re measuring yourself against someone else and redirect that focus back to your journey. Ask yourself: What do I bring to the table that no one else does?

|
|
Flip The Script
Instead of asking, What if this doesn’t work? try flipping it: What if this is the exact thing that leads me to my next level? Every great creative venture starts with someone daring to trust their gut.

Build Your Ideas database
Not every idea needs to be a full project right away. Keep an "Intuition Journal" where you jot down creative sparks, things that excite you, patterns you notice, themes that won’t leave you alone. Revisit it when you're ready to take action.
